History and Overview
The office in Seoul, Korea was opened in 1979. Country Director, Say Young Jo, has served the ASA-IM office since 1980. ASA-IM staff and consultants in Korea work with local soybean processors, feed mills, livestock producers, soybean oil refiners and soy-based food manufacturers to expand the use of soybeans and soy products. Korea is a maturing market with the potential for growth of U.S. soybean exports slowing.
