USSEC Charter Members Recognized
January 10, 2007 - The United States Soybean Export Council recognized 37 companies as charter members of the one-year-old organization, which promotes U.S. soybeans and soybean products in over 80 countries. Four of the charter members who are USSEC board members were presented with awards at a board meeting on January 10, 2007.
Charter members who are also USSEC board members include: Rhonda Cole, Director of Grain and Oils Sales, SunOpta Grains and Oils Group, Hope, Minn.; Alex Stemme, Director of Identity Preserved Products, Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council, Jefferson City, Mo.; John Wright, Vice-President, Owensboro Grain, Owensboro, Ky.; and Doug Grennan, Senior Manager, The Scoular Company, Minneapolis, Minn.

The activities of the U.S. Soybean Export Council to expand international markets for U.S. soybeans and soy products are made possible by producer checkoff dollars invested by the United Soybean Board and various State Soybean Councils, support from cooperating industry, and through the American Soybean Association's investment of cost-share funding provided by USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service. |
