| The Crop Quality Report is an annual survey conducted by University researchers on behalf of the soybean checkoff and the U.S. Soybean Export Council. The crop quality survey serves as a guide to international buyers on overall U.S. soybean quality for decisions regarding the purchase and use of U.S. soybeans. The survey also helps soybean checkoff farmer-leaders identify soybean production regions that may need improvements in soybean quality to meet customers’ demands.
This report summarizes current knowledge on the following soybean quality topics:
• protein and oil composition of the 2007 US soybean crop,
• the 2007 crop in historical perspective,
• weather conditions affecting the 2007 crop,
• the connection between protein content and amino acid levels,
